At our November meeting we met at The Dog & Bear - our guest speaker was Laura Dickson, Tourism Manager at Maidstone Borough Council – see photo below with a few of the attendees.

It is now essential that members understand our fastest route to growth is through them. Please print out the posters and display them or hand them out to everyone you know in business. Also carry a couple of the Membership Application forms with you so you can sign people up quickly.

Membership starts at just £65 for a sole trader (£1.24 per week – less than a cup of tea!); members employing from 2 to 9 people costs £1.44 per week; 10 to 99 employees costs £95 pa and over 100 is £165. There are already free monthly meetings, business advice and other benefits will start with a membership directory going to every household, a website will be available very soon (holding page already uploaded). There are lots of other plans. We will be providing a news letter every month and will be holding an exhibition in September. We are on the look out for volunteers for the committee too, please, especially in the finance and law areas.
